It has been brought to our attention here at the Wilmington Police Department there are certain individuals going around door to door trying to sell ADT alarms. We have issued a couple of permits for people to sell ADT alarms but as always becareful who you allow in your home. If they are soliciting then they will have a permit. With that said if you do not feel comfortable answering the door then don't, but do call 9-1-1 or the non-emergency number at 910.452.6120 to report this activity. We would like to know that they are legitimate then respond later to a crime in progress...
